The real question is, can you ride this board at Da Farm Plastic Division?

If it's an accurate Zephyr reproduction, then it's solid fibreglas. It would weigh a little less than an Abrams tank and have the flex response of an anvil.

How close am I, CBara?

worth it's weight in plastic

not far off WT...I think allot of people give the original Z's allot more credit than they deserve. They were very cool for their time, but they werent exactly carbon/foam cores!. Actually, this one is very similar to the originals in that the center beam is hollowed out, not solid, so the board does have some flex to it...although i dont have an original here to compare it to, i think it's a bit heavier too....

that being said, it's better as a showpiece than a rider....though to be honest, i did originally buy it to ride it....but now it's just a question of cash and priorities...but it is damn sexy

Oh and Molly Ringwold...heh heh....cute in her day...but in the Breakfast Club, the goth chick was more my style

sorry man...i've got a pretty strong offer on the table right now, though the deals not closed yet....To be honest though, the board should go as a complete...the trucks and wheels are exactly what it would have had back in the day...and it took me a while to find Mark Iv's and Slicks that have the engraved lettering, most of the ones out there had it painted on the side...plus the trucks are clean and the bushings are still pliable...plus the hardware is even correct, down to the "star lock washers"....parting this board out just wouldnt be right

trust me, theres no original Z, or prop, going for 100.00.....
Correctly set up props have sold on Ebay for 300.00+ several times
If i was traveling more this season, i'd be hotter to part with it, but all my plans changed with a shoulder blow out....i'll still sell, but i wont give it away.....

Congrats on your buy...just make sure you get what your looking for...different models, different eras, different values

Bara - The educator to the unknowing masses......

Sorry about the shoulder bro, hope it heals soon!!!! You still gonna shoot down to the Buckeye for the the three B's? (beer, babes & bracket racing)

heh heh...as i sell off all the boards i've got laying around, i get to sit down and think about where they came from...i think i had about50-60 complete set ups at one time and i tried to do them all the way they were ridden by the pro's, or the way they were advertised in the ads...My Bowman 10.0 has Indy 2's and Krypts, the Alva has Fulls and Raised Letter Ks....
And now all they mean to me is travel cash.
This year i'm hosed though...the shoulder is bad...it's been bad for about 2 years, since before i got into slalom heavy, and it always caused problems when i fell, but i'd had allot of therapy and was doing good until i crashed practicing agains Fadell in spring...just a weird fall and a nasty blowout...
Surgery in july to bolt it all back together, repair the torn stuff, shave the flat spot on the bone ..........and then 7 months of therapy,
so no Dixie...
Damn thing blew out 4 times in St Lou a couple weeks back just from swinging hard...I still ran, but it hurt like crazy....
So now i'm trying new ways to skate without blowing it out.....and i'll be racing at the buckeye.....
look out cuz i'll be racing pissed too......
i have a chip on my shoulder ......
heh heh....that was so lame i couldnt resist

Rather Chippy

Don't you mean you have a chip IN your shoulder?????

I am nursing a shoulder problem too. A pinched nerve under my left blade, the thing aches like a bitch. I am off to an orthopedic surgeon on Thursday, hopefully for nothing more than cortisone.

good luck....follow the doctors orders....here's my story:
Torn Rotator cuff
Chipped upper humerous (i think that's what it's called)
Cracked labrum cartiledge
stretched tendons
water on the shoulder

All in all, it'll take 4 anchors and small plates and if i'm really really lucky minor invasive surgery....

Wish cortizone would take care of it......but thank the Lord for Vicodin and Darvicet

Ha, you got better than I did, I was happy to get Lortabs.

Hopefully tomorrow breaks good news. I am tired of not practicing and my wife is tired of mowing the lawn.

One of the upsides of my recent brain surgery (!) was that starting about a week before, and tapering off for about 2 weeks after, I was on steroids. They do this to control swelling after they go a-prospecting in your head.

I found that my painful shoulders, messed up thumb, and creaky knees all felt better. I felt about 15 years younger.

Sadly, now that I'm all tapered off I'm beginning to feel my age again. Damn.

So, Chris. Get yourself some 'roids!

10 years ago, you'd have been saying "hit this, it'll make ya feel better"
