Wanted-Personal timer.

Post by Martin Drayton » Sat May 26, 2007 10:16 pm

If I'm going to race Pro, I might as well get serious about it! I would to buy a personal timer. I know nothing about the systems out there, but want to keep the cost down as much as possible.
I'm just looking for a training aid and something to aid wheel choice on race day, not something to run races with.
Thanks.

this is what i use. You'll also need to purchase one extra beacon, as it only comes with one, so don't forget that.

Equine timer?

Post by Ron Olsen » Sun May 27, 2007 2:49 pm

Martin,

Depending on your needs, have a look at the Equine timer:

Wireless, everything you need, but a bit expensive. I have an older model than he sells now, it works well. PM me if you have questions.

Looks good...

Looks good Ron and would be great when the whole crew is together training (might get one for next summer in Utah), but not to sound selfish, I wouldn't be able to use it on race day for myself...
Also the other systems require less "bits" if its just me and I don't have to worry about Joe Public wandering through the beam!
But thanks for the info, I wouldn't have found it otherwise.

Does anyone have one of these that they want to sell?
