1.) How wide is the street? my guess 7m (max.)

2.) And where will be the space for the spectators ? my guess: at the end of the course.

Hoping to have a real GS (30-36 inch boards) not only a Hybrid or extended TS.

Maximum cone spacing in the giant slalom will be bigger than 2,50m. Expect something similar to Kreuzlingen. Maybe a little easier for the rookies.

Some French skaters said in their discussions they didn't want to come because of the 2.50 m giant slalom. Unfortunately Kreuzlingen wasn't much of giant either, but at least it had gates larger than 2.50 m.
If you could update your website that would be great. Maybe we can encourage a few more to come along.

Racers will start in the two main categories with seperate finals and head to heads.

Too bad we can't race against the best Germans in the same head-to-head.

We use a timing system with individual timing (also like in Kreuzlingen).

If there's individual timing you may want to look into some kind of system for simultaneous starts. It worked quite well with the rubberband in Grüningen this year. Although I personally think we need a computerized system with false start detection. Check out Tways and EttSexEtt's systems for next year.

I might come, and hoping to bring a few Parisian slalomers, but I can't decide until only about a week before.

Follow up questions:

Giant slalom (Saturday). There will be an offset course with a cone spacing between 1,80m – 2,50m.

Doesn't seem like much of a giant slalom if the maximum is 2.50m. Is this just an approximation, or is this the limit?


Will there be dual racing in both tight and giant?


What kind of timing system do you use, ie what kind of start should we expect?


It's not so clear about the classes. Will all skaters compete together and the German classification be created after, or we competing in two classes. Two separate head to head finals, one between German riders and one between "foreigners"?


The link to Bernhard_Farrelly.zip doesn't work. The others were OK.

We're thinking about putting together a small French team from Paris and come over but we're not ready to confirm it yet.

Yes, there are going to be spectators

Yes, the course is a downhill course with a flat ending

The ramps are going to be about 1,40-1,50m high and s-shaped

Wheels between 78 and 88A will be fine but slalomers usually bring always all their stuff, so..

Irgend wie gibt es noch mehr offene Fragen, die aus meiner Sicht am Besten im Forum zu bentworten sind; damit alle die Antwort lesen können.

1.) Wie sieht es mit den Zuschauern aus ?
Nach den Bildern zu urteilen erscheint die Straße realtiv schmal, so daß es wohl keine geben wird ...
1.) Are there any spectators possible ?
Just looking on the pictures, there seems to be too less space because of the road width.


2.) Welche Rampen wird es geben ?
S-shape oder kein s-shape mit welcher Höhe.
2.) Do we have s-shaped ramps ? What is the height ?

... Belag, vielleicht kann man mal ein Kugellager auf die Fahrbahn legen, damit es einen Anhaltspunkt gibt.

Da sich auch Slalomfreunde aus den USA zu dem Rennen angemeldet haben, wäre eine Härteempfehlung für die Räder auch ganz hilfreich.

Ich schätze, einfach so aus der 'lameng' 74/7a bis 84/6a.
