Yes Mathias, if you see the schedule you will notice there is time for that every morning,... but is there a numerus closus in amateur men category, that is a question i haven't found an answer to.
(obviously unnecessary in pro class)
if i was in charge of the PSWC, i guess i would set one.
Maybe i would not make publicity on that before the online subscription is actually working

All Riderz dynamic webpages are down
It's a curse!
We ever had problems problem last month (many pirates attacks). So perhaps it's one more again.
I hope the team will have time to fix that quickly.
Really sorry.
But don't worry, if you come from far away it will ever be possible to register at the beginning of the competition.
What you've got to know
The PSWC 2005 packs include :
- the regstration to the three slalom races (Tight+Special+Giant) ,
- registration to the slide contest
- 3 meals
- a t-shirt
Prices:
--> Amateurs: 50 €
--> Pros: 110 €
At least 75% of the pro participation will be redistributed to the racers: prize money for the 8 first racers of each race.
Amateurs can also register only for the race they want to if they don't want the complete pack.

Babel tower racing
The online subscriptions page has been updated first in french, this is not very logical... However it should be possible to fill the form with no notion of french at all "nom" means name, prénom means "first name", ...

i talked with 2 of my teamriders yesterday and they loved your generous offer.
so PAVEL is throwing at least 2 riders into the competition.i think chris and ramon from airflow are also keen on racing for the purse,as are a lot of others, vince, klang, you name em.
good offer-good vibes
see you there, prep up,it won't be that easy to keep the money.

If most of the racers perfer to begin with Tight Slalom on Saturday and finish with GS on Monday.. we can do it!
If you want to vote, I set-up a poll, just to know:

Paris Schedule
I too was expecting the schedule to be the same as last year with the Tight on Saturday and the GS on Monday. I think opening up with the tight is a great warm up as everyone knows exactly what that course is (40 cones @ 2 M). I hope you change back to Tight on Saturday and GS on Monday. Just an opinion. Thanks

we're working really hard on it (just a reminder last year we didn't have it ready either by that time and the competition went really smoothly). i'd like you to remember we all have full time jobs and we're doing this on our free time. we're all downhill racers as well and the season starts early this year so it's a bit tough to fit everything in our schedule. the website is not the most important thing we have to figure out, there are a LOT of things to be taken into account in order to succesfully put up an event in front of the eiffel tower (we're doing a lot of talking with officials to get this accepted every year).Donald Campbell wrote:constructive criticism here.
so the people in paris are unable to create an english version of their site.
is that what it seems to be?
thanks for your patience and please relax. the registration will be up shortly and don't worry there'll be room for everyone.

As pro you do not have to worry about numerus closus or whatever, you could sign in right before the races.
it's a bit cheaper though if you do it before, if i remember.
The schedule is indicative: it can be modified if there is risks of rain. The slide contest would start immediately if the tracks are wet.

Ok... I officiallly declare that Riderz is not participating to the slalom race websites contest
What informations do you need guys?
LOOK AT THE EVENT SCHEDULE HERE:
http://event.riderz.net/pswc2005/eng/programme.php?id=8
SPECIAL SLALOM = hybrid parallel slalom
TIGHT SLALOM = straight slalom
Schedule of the Slide Contest is indicative (it's a one thing that the rain can't stop so it can begin as soon as we cannot do something else because of the weather!! but this year we didn't order rain).
An update of the website will be done very soon (perhaps in a few hours. Before the end of the week for sure)
RIDERZ organize two downhill races far away from Paris in March and April. And at the same time we are working on the PSWC. We also had a few problems with our new server. So there's a lot to do and the website wasn't the top priority... sorry.

Re: I don't think so
The 2006 World Championships are to be held on the hill of St Germain, in Brittany, this race is in 2005 a SuperGiant and the setting is absolutely consensual since the locals do a famous sausage pancake, with lots of cider and other local beverages. Also this is a hand held to the British racers who are not very far, and it is closer to California too (by the west route). This is certainly going to be a historical moment, the point of programming a drunk cart and longskate freeride under rain again (2 main U turns and serious slope) like in 2004 still has to be decided.Jack Smith wrote:As one of the principal players behind the slalom movement over the last five years, I find it interesting to not be included in any ISSA meetings, conferences or email groups.

"Morro will be state Championships with only Cyber courses (25 cones and 40 cones). The Farm will be the U.S Championships"
The ISSA should sanction races. It should not dictate where a National Championship should take place or the types of courses that will be used.
I agree that the World's should be held in different locations. The World Slalom Skateboarding Championships will be held in the Morro Bay area in 2005 as part of Slalom Week 2005. The 2006 site should be decided upon now.

Winter Ice Slalom world Championships
Peter more good news for everyone.
I called to confirm your changes and was glad to hear that you were bang on. You are very good at taking notes, my friend.
I was talking to Mark at Radikal and we are bringing those ICE Blades from the 70's. In February of 2006 Ottawa will host the First Annual WORLD RADIKAL ICE BLADES FLATLAND SLALOM CHAMPIONSHIPS.
It will be great. We will make it part of our Annual Winterlude event on the Worlds Longest Skating Rink.
Bring some warm clothes sometimes it get pretty cold here.

Well, good news my brothers and sisters. I just spoke to Jani, and as the acting president of ISSA he said they had a phone meeting last night where they decided on some changes in the 2005 race statuses. Paris will be the European Championships 2005. Got me pissed off till Jani calmed me down and told me Stockholm would be the host for the World Championships 2005. Gruningen will be the East European Championships, and Hanover the the German Championships, Antibes will be the French and Morro will be state Championships with only Cyber courses (25 cones and 40 cones). The Farm will be the U.S Championships and Brands hatch will be the Commonwealth games.
I hope this sort out all your question for the season, oh, Texas Eddie will be setting all courses for all world cup races 2005. Have a great 2005 and see you all in Paris at the euros.

World's
I don't know who decided that the World's goes to Morro ?
There wasn't support for Paris, because of some stupid people (sorry for the words) can't make some compromisses or wouldn't make some compromisses !!!
What i know is that some of the best riders from Europe wouldn't show up in Morro.
It's bed for the sport when there is a World Championschip with only 50 % of the World's best rider's !
There is a discussion on ncdsa.com

Sorry that i post it here...

Re: what´s up
There is a translaton mistake in the english document, sorry. For people not following organisation discussions there's not much difference betwen a World Cup and a World Champ' but it's confusing for sure.Detlef Rehbock wrote:is the impact of the pswc the world championship in skateboard slalom?
i read that in your ppt file for interested sponsors of the pswc.
or is morro bay the worlds again?
We'll try to correct that even if it's a bit late for most of you.

Of course if you are interested in sponsorship participation don't hesitate to contact Riderz (email : info @ riderz DOT net) or to send me a private message (also available for someone you know).

PSWC is a Slalom World Cup
in extenso: an international race with most of the best racers in the world
Paris was candidate to welcome the Worlds but some objections were made (mainly because the GS spot this year can't be something else than the Trocadero slope an it seems to be too short to host the World Champ GS )
So Morro Bay will be the Worlds again...
in extenso: an international race with most of the best racers in the world

Hi Peter and all of you waiting for news
I'll try to get more news to keep you informed. There's no problem but the organisation is bit late for a few things like the online subscription form.
The english site is online but it's true that some pages aren't ready yet (like on french part)
http://event.riderz.net/pswc2005/eng/index.php
I don't have the exact schedule but it should be quite like last years on three days:
- parallel tight slalom (cente2center: PRO 2m , AM: probably 2.30m)
- parallel special slalom
- giant slalom (one line)
and don't forget:
- the slide contest (bring your longboard or sliding board)
- like last years, we hope oldtimers will go for a Freestyle demo
- more demos and shows
- and roller races, it's a Roller World Cup too
It will be a great event!
