Replacement kingpins?

the Paris replacement kingpins fit the indy plates that require newer (button) kingpins.

-knurled
-2.5 inches long
-shorter threading
-claim to be Grade 8

I have been able to modify the new Indy baseplates to get them the way I like.

First, pound out the Indy kingpin. Get the standard upgrade 2.25" grade 8 bolt and bond it into the baseplate with epoxy glue.

Clean up the cavity in the base and the bolt with something like acetone prior to the glue job and use high strength epoxy (not fast cure). I have been filling the entire cavity around the grade 8 bolt head with the glue. Drill the bases with the additional 2 old school holes and that completes the upgrade.

I haven't got as much testing as I might have liked prior to recommending this to the world, but after a few days of running cones on 2 or 3 sets of trucks, everything looks fine.

A Tracker RTX baseplate will fit, eh?

What about those Royal baseplates? Anyone know anything about those?

Use Tracker RT-X baseplates. Tracker sells them individually, you just have to contact them about ordering some. Or maybe there's still some page on their website that offers all the parts/accessories. You'll have to check it yourself.

I have the newer, lighter weight one, and mine have a two hole mounting pattern (one long mounting spot).

All I know is they they use that damn kingpin that is so short.

Yeah, I try to use the older indy baseplates too, but only have so many of them. If anybody knows how to swap kingpins in the new indy baseplates, post it up!

Your 109's are the new Indy Kingpin right?

I use old indy baseplates and replace kingpin with a
longer grade 8 bolt so I can use larger bushings.
