Announcement Paris Slalom World Cup - Overall results

This year we'll use the World Ranking points (for a main event) rather than the previous ISSA classification 25, 20, 17 that we've used so far at PSWC. The points obtained in each of the three disciplines Giant, Tight and Special will be added together to create an overall score.

- The best overall Pro skater will receive the "King of the hill" title, trophy and EUR 200. Pro number 2 and 3 will receive trophies.
- The top three overall Am skaters will receive trophies.
- The top three overall Female skaters will receive trophies.

If you don't participate in an event, a score equivalent to a DQ will be used instead. Thus non-participation is equal to participation with a DQ.

The awards ceremony for the overall prices will be held after the Nations Cup final on Sunday.

That place can only be used when those shops are closed, thus on a Sunday, but it's a bit late to "save" us.

Peter, there is also a font size = 24 which is slightly larger than the 18 you used.

What kind of reply do you expect? We have no direct contacts with the weather Gods and you know very well the kind of weather you can expect in May: it can be pouring down like hell, then dry, then rain again. We've always had some rain during the previous Paris Slalom World Cup events, but we've also had some extremely good wheather. With 4 days on hand I feel confident that we can achieve a good event.

If You take Air France Bus ( about 10 euro), when you arrived at Arc de Triompe, you could take the bus 22 On avenue Kleber. 3 Stations and you're at trocadero!

Yes but the RER from CDG Airport is the RER B (and not A like written by Allan here).
It's quite fast and easy and cost 8 euros (perhaps you cal also ask about day tickets for 1 to 5 days to have one ticket to travel as much as you want , it's called "Paris Visite")

I think you can also take a train (rer A) from the airport and change at "Charles de Gaulle étoile" (grande arche) and then take subway ligne 6 and get off at "Trocadéro".

Basically you must aim for the subway station "Trocadéro" which is on ligne 6 and ligne 9. The parisian subway system is pretty clear and straightforward. Once you get out there, you walk towards the eiffel tower. Then you should start seeing some cones...

Hike a ride with Jani. Pre-conditions, suitable time, the appropriate terminal, luck. With a little bit of chance it could work out. Send me an email with all your flight details and we can discuss it.

If we can't work it out, take the Air France coach from Charles De Gaulle Airport to Porte Maillot / L'arche de Triomphe. Get off at L'arche de Triomphe. From there you can skate directly south 10 blocks or so on the boulevard that goes straight out from the south side of the arch, or take a taxi, but it'll be a short ride, but with luggage that's understandable.

Yeah some people will be at the Trocadero on wednesday for installation from the morning till night.
No mark set from what I know except the one of last year

(but I hadn't time to go to the Trocadero this time)..
at least it's fair for everybody

My only point is the high entryfee:

What i say is that it can't be that a 15 years old junior has to pay 65 Euros because you put 10 Euro plus because he hasn't transfer the money until May 1. This Kidy has to look with the school, write a paper to get the ok from the school that he can leave earlier. As you know with your permissions of the event, that permissions need time to get it.

I think i needn't to tell you which swiss youngster's can ride pro. Why they don't ride pro ? because they aren't able to pay 110 Euro, why aren't they able ? because they are student's and don't work.

I don't have a problem with the paris race and all the stuff arround the race. It's nice that you all are working so much, but if you take one more eyes on the event and not on the side-events it will be better for shure. I don't know why does it cost you more if someone register at the race side. If the Riderz where a company i would understand it, but i don't think that you pay the staff who works at the event.

The pack is for FOUR DAYS :
4 meals + drinks at one of the most touristic place in Europe
5 skateboard contests (3 slalom races + slide + Nation Cup)
one party as guests with some free drinks in one of the most famous club in Paris
one "VIP" bowl session with demos, music (and foods)
trophies, prizes and more

Late registration/payments cost us more, so you pay more for that...

Perhaps in france you have a diffrent way of thinking.

First a deadline and than an increase of the entry fee.

I hope that all the rider's who registered will come as well and have fun to pay 10 Euro more for whatever....

we decide to allow one more week before first payment deadline.
Payment after May 14, AM's pay +5 euros.
Payment after May 21, or on site, AM's pay +10 euros.

One of our juniors is coming to Paris, he has now to pay 65 euros for the event. Does you french guy's start working with 15 year's ? Normaly when you transfer the money earlier you have to pay less than the normal fee. The fee of 55 Euro was announced ? If you pay earlier you pay less, if you pay at the day you pay the 55 Euro.

We don't use paypal in Switzerland and a bank transfer coast 10-15 swiss francs (10Euro). If you want i will transfer the money by bank and tell them that the receiver will pay the transfer coast. You take from a 15 year old boy 65 Euro to participate in the AM class at the trocadero. What do you think how many times will he do this again ?

We couldn't get the authorization to use the other street this year, but I hope the effort we've done this year will help us achieve that another time. It would have required the town to post policemen at both ends and to sign post alternative circulation. Apparently that was too much for them at this time. But our administrative super hero Alain is working his way through the administration and as he gets better and better contact with them maybe soon we'll be allowed to do it.

Sorry for not communication about this topic earlier, but we've had a no for a long time, but still continued the battle, which I think we can say surely now is lost.

So, the Giant will be held at Trocadero.

thursday mai 25:

On Thursday the 19th will be held at the « mini club » of the famous Parisian restaurant “ la Suite” the Paris Slalom World Cup opening party.
This wonderful place, located between the “Champs élysées” and Avenue George V, in one of Paris most beautiful district will accommodate you all for one of those “Parisian nights”. Drinks, rock n roll, jungle and electro music will rules all night long! We are waiting for you on the 55 rue François 1er at 21 o’clock. All riders will be VIP, won’t pay entrance and have free acces to one hour of open bar.

To acces mini club:

If you want to walk or skate from trocadero to mini club, follow the blue path:

Friday may 26:

There will be a Huge bowl party in la Muette park ( 10 min walking from Trocadero), with some drinks, and musics. there will be at Least two dj and one band playing in the arena...
If you're not a bowl rider, just come to enjoy the show.

There will be a meeting point, 9 pm at trocadero and will pick you all for ride in Paris streets, from the Troca to the Bowl.

You bet, after that first event when you helped us get this deal going they've been asking us to come back. "Next year you can have anything you like" was one of the replies we got from them.

I've made it a tradition now to keep a Duvel bottle each year and drink it only at the end of next years race. So I've got one waiting for me at home and I'll pick up one or more (hopefully) at the end of this years race.

This year they're lending us equipment so that we can serve pressurized Duvel. Cool!

I'll make sure you get your souvenir t-shirt. Was it last years that got lost with someone? I can probably still get you one of those as well. Maybe it's better if I send it to you?
