I'm taking a break from skating to do some other things....Fadell is overseas right now...
I'm not sure what we're going to do when he gets back but maybe we'll fire things up again...
We've got a really good spot. But the road its on is only closed on Sundays....
Got a pic of your hill?
Lansings not too far...and Mason is between us and you, always good for a stop out....
Mason is real close, we should run park slalom at the Mason Skate Park. What do you think? I think it would be fun beyond reason. Here's some shots of our hills.

Anyways, I'm really interested in getting a sanctioned race going in Grosse Pointe this spring. They just repaved a beautiful slalom hill in GP and I think we could get it closed down because I know some of the people on the street and the other side is a field.
Ogre on the Fish told me to get in touch with you, so I'm gonna email you if I can find your addy. Talk to you soon hopefully! I'll check ISSA more often.

What's going on with the scene? I've talked to Greg a month ago but I'm wondering if you guys are meeting? We've got a decent slalom scene over here in Lansing and we found a buttery hill so if you guys wanna come here I'm sure we could swing that, or we could come to you.

Greg & Chris:
If you are holding a session - please give me some advanced notice and I will drive my Canadian ass down, especially if the two of you want to provide me with some coaching!!!

Tod,
That's the plan. My buddies and I are 18-21 years old, so hopefully we can spread cone-dodging to our generation!

Time to wake the dead a little bit here; hope I'm not upsetting anyone.
I'm from Grosse Pointe originally, but I've been over in East Lansing for college. I've hooked up with a couple guys and we're really getting into slalom. We've all got boards and setups and we've been practicing in the EL area. One of my buddies actually linked me this thread, and the stoke if flowing!
Of course it's been bitterly cold, other than the last 2 days, but are you guys still getting together? The 2, 3 max, would be more than willing to venture down if you guys want to show us the ropes a bit.
I look forward to hearing from you guys soon.

Since it's too hard to keep everybody's Emails straight, we'll start posting times and loc's here on SS.com.
One big rule though.....since our "regular" spot is still one of the best kept secrets in town, we have to keep it that way.....which means, if you dont know where it is, then dont write and ask...If we want you to know, we'll tell you....It's invite only and i'm pretty much a dick about that...
If you know where it is, keep it to yourself ....... run it past the crew before anybody new comes to the hill.........it's just too good.......and if word gets out, we're screwed....
if you let it leak, we'll Pistol whip ya........
I'm serious..
That being said....anybody who missed out today, missed a great skate day....
Welcome to the crew John Powers (i've got to get me a cool name too).....glad to see ya had a good time.....let us know when that Axe comes in.....you're going to be stoked....and you did great for your first day, especially on that hill.
