Riding my Insect Hybrid for TS

Post by Stuart Karow » Wed Mar 07, 2007 1:32 am

I just purchased a used, (but mint cond.) Sidewinder, 30" from one of this Forum's members, (one of the nicest guys to ever do business with). Right now the shortest WB is 19.5". Should I have an extra set of holes drilled at 18.5WB for TS? Also, what would be the widest truck that you'd go with for TS?

Depends how tight you run ts... I find that the shortest wheelbase on the 30" sidewinder is just fine for ts unless you're running 4-5 foot offsets...

rtx/s 106mm are also perfectly good for ts if you set them up correctly with the right bushings and with some trimmed wheels...
There are also alot of other more expensive trucks that work well for ts - gog's, splitfires, radikals...
I myself am running a very turny truck developped by the russians ( ;) ) that is approx 85mm in the front, and a tracker rts 106mm in the back.
