WTB: Tracker Blue Barrel Bushings.

Post by Martin Drayton » Fri Apr 04, 2008 9:41 am

On behalf of a Technophobe buddy who doesn't do Internet, does anyone still have any of the old Tracker 'blues'? Ideally the Barrel ones rather than the conicals.

NOT Superballs.

Post by Martin Drayton » Sat Apr 05, 2008 9:49 am

No Doug, not Superballs...they are way older than that.
Hard to describe, but they are a kind of mid-blue with the Tracker logo printed in black on them. They may even be pre-Stimulator! I think he wants to use them instead of just putting them in a Vintage set up.
I've tried to talk him into Khiros, but he is a dinosaur!

Martin.

Martin, I may have a few pre-90's. I am away from the crib but can check later. I also have some from the 70's including those that came with mids, half's, etc. with no writing on them.

If you're talking blue Stims, I've got some for sale.

Martin, the one person I know of that has those light blue Tracker Barrel bushings is Mark from Radikal. My source, Ozzie from oldschoolskates, ran out a few years back. I've got exactly 3 left (all in use on front trucks for slalom), as Schwipp tended to rip them apart in short order. Orange Khiros are one of the closest matches in softness, size, unless someone can cut new ones from blue Avalons...

Again, and I cannot stress this strongly enough; NO ONE has filled in the range and sizing of high-resiliency, properly-sized, and affordable TRUCK BUSHINGS since I first noted how nice Stimulators were some 10 years ago. NO ONE in the industry has even realized that ROLLERSKATE RINKS have supplied similar bushings, while SKATEBOARD RACING has had to beg parts, bits and pieces from quad-fruit-booters and from retro E-Bay sk8-shop sales for a damn, full decade! Would someone finally step-up and make BUSHINGS that fit MOST TRUCKS, Slalom Trucks, DownHill Trucks in the range of sizes, with rebound, and quality, and in the range of Durometers needed, at a price that's, um, more reasonable than what Stims sell for?? PLEASE!!??

Man, I hate grovelling... :-(
