Hey Klangster & fellow K's, are Policka, Stockholm & Amsterdam sanctioned or still just candidates?

We also asked the major status for Grenoble, but i'm glad to see that there is another race for the status... and it seems to be already decided.

And two other applications should come fast for Antibes and Nantes !

I'm sure Policka CzR is a wonderful place and there's a great organization there. But couldn't be Euros held in a place that has better and cheaper flight connections?. Zurich, Paris, Grenoble, Amsterdam, London, etc are a 60-100 eur flight. Here we are talking of +300 if lucky (cheap flight to Prague in a weekend in agoust? pls find me one).

I don't think limiting assistance is good for the sport. Same applies for Worlds.

Well, you can always go via car or railroad (Latvians are going to Policka by car for last two years and they also did so some 15 years ago), or you can go via Paris or London for example me and Janis we went to last years Grenoble race from Riga via Berlin via Lyon and then with train to Grenoble and we both ended up by winning PRO and AM divisions :)

Policka for me is something like Rolland Garros in tennis - a great race with long history and fantastic public so I hope that you will make a little bit more effort and you will be there :)

Speaking about access from different countries - it is not organizers fault and I think last years Gothenburg also wasn't geographical the best place but it was and still is the best race in slalom history...so far...;)!

Subject: statuses

Hi KKK

The season is starting and all riders are asking when the statuses wil be set? We are receiving from Europe with questions about Policka – Major candidate – important for family vacation planning etc.

When the fifth Main will be free, we are ready to upgrade Hradec Kralove – team contest.

What about the other Prime events? It is shame to leave these statuses unused.

What about the Stockholm dates? It should be a Main contest and there are no date, sanction, info etc.

Thanks for quick answer

Best wishes for a fun season, Josef

Josef,

sorry for the late answer. As I am very busy with the Tunnel Slalom and the whole Burningwheelstour, I wanted to let Dominik and Peter decide. Apparently, neither of them replied.

Let us discuss that matter this weekend at the Tunnel Slalom GS event.

Thank you,

I've been totally out of what happend here for quite long time, but what about the status. It's not setted for races of May and June?

The contest in Nantes is next week end, and they had no news...
it's bad because it's a good venue, in a nice city quite easy to access. THey were expecting international racers and it doesn't help then to have no visibility on status :(
