Is there going to be an ISSA Worlds 2010?

Post by Rick Floyd » Mon Feb 08, 2010 11:25 pm

Is there going to be an ISSA Worlds? Has anyone applied to host it yet? Anyone even mentioned they might want to host it?

Are we sticking with the same ranking system for 2010, and if so, will there be year-end awards for rankings placement, as previously discussed elsewhere?

Seems there is next to nothing on the US calendar for MAIN events. Will there be more?

I just want to try to figure out if it is worth chasing ISSA points this year, or bag it and go for more "fun" races and outlaws. Need to plan financially.

I heard that the Czec's are putting together a bid for the ISSA Worlds.

I asked the BOD about other race status assignments and have not heard back.

Thank you Eddy and Pat.

Pat - will there be a race in Hood this summer you think? If not, maybe I can make the OSG or other CSA race.

Eddy - I'd go for Montreal Worlds...1hr. and 15 min. drive!! ;-)

Rick,

No one has applied to hold the worlds (yet). Yes, we hope there is going to be one.

As far as I know the status marshalls met Sunday to discuss status. Perhaps they will post up here and let us know.

Joe

I'm assuming that there will be a Hood River race, and probably close to the normal date of around July 10-11 or 17-18, but I have not yet heard from Gareth Roe on this.

You are most welcome to come to OSG or another CSA race.... (There are 3 on the NCDSA calendar right now).

Thanks Joe! Are you gonna get a personal status? I propose MAJOR status for Joe Iacovelli.

Pat, I hope to make at least one of those. It was so great to be back out there last summer after 18 years away.

Go Czec's get that Worlds bidding going. I am heading to Hog Hill and hang out with the Brits. Jolly good peeps. Your Amigo Eddy Texas Outlaws. It is my wifes vacation. So she has a say in this too. None of that macho man BS here. As long as she is happy and I can skate. Life is good.
