My life is a bit crazy right now...
Check your emails.
I got the files - thank you Mig.
Now to find the time in MY crazy life to get them on the NESRA site...you'll probably need to remind me....LOL...it's a good thing there isn't a language barrier.

Very glad to have had you come race DGW, having new and enthusiastic racers come and join the show means a lot to US as well! Much of this is about building the scene, so whenever you have the chance to bring someone aboard, "spread the stoke" as they say... it's both a duty and an honor!
Met a new guy on Sunday, never skated before, saw the race and though it looked fun. Found us on ISSA on the web, just showed up at our skate spot to say hello - with his helmet! He's a qualified c-bomber after 2 hours on wheels, I bet he'll be in the B group or better at next year's race.

Hey, I'll be attending the Home and Harvest followup meeting in a couple hours. Short notice I know. Anyone have constructive criticism to offer for this meeting, or for the next one? PM me if it's not for public consumption, I want to hear it all, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Thanks to all the racers and the people of Antrim! That was a fun time! I know I was spoiled to have the Can/Am as my first race experience, but I can't wait to do it all again. I appreciate all of the coaching, friendly competition and good times. I'm working on a top secret training program designed to propell me to the very competitive B/C class for next season. I'm also going to brush up on my French to increase my coachable opportunities. May also have a surprise (or two) for the kids races! It was great to meet all of you!

I wasn't involved with the kids race timekeeping. Never saw the results on paper. I was at the top of the hill dissambling and packing all the timing equipment while the kids race was going on. I only saw the last few runs and the awards. Maybe Joe, Brian, Glenn or Dr Dan have kept them...Dave Kirkpatrick wrote:Any chance you have Kids Race info for the locals to peruse? Or Joe?

Hey, looks like we're about to race!
Anyone have last minute questions? Comments? Complaints?
We are busy, busy getting things set up, just wanted to check in, bump it, and see if there's anything hanging out there...
See you tonight or way too early tomorrow, on the hill!

Antrim Can/Am Beer Has Been Bottled
One American ale and one Canadian ale have both been bottled. Early taste-testing indicates that it's worth coming to Antrim for a formal taste-testing with several dignified associates near a crackling fire.
Since that only describes Julie, I guess those of you who want to drink real beer by a raging inferno and get rowdy can come, too.
Registration deadline coming up on Sept. 8th!

Last call for beer names and graphics suggestions - get yours in!
We've got a classic English (aka American?) bitter and a Canadian ale, both on the lighter blonde side. So tell your jokes slowly, and don't take advantage..!
Don't hesitate to send your tweaked graphics, if you have something that's good to go, send it my way - the done-er the sooner the better (the Bitter), I say!

I don't know shit about beer but Summer Street Wheat sounds perfect to me. Or any type of beer as long as it's called Summer Street something . When I think of the Antrim race, Summer Street is the image that comes to my mind.
And the label should feature the silhouette of a racer going around a cone. Pierre? or Julie? You guys should submit a label to Brian.

Rick: FatBoy Scotch Ale -- the idea has merit. (Scotch ale was one of our better brews)
Keep the ideas coming!

Special Brew for Antrim Can/Am
The Great Brook Brewers (Dave, Brian, Peter, Jason, et. al) are going to brew for the Antrim Can/Am party (that is unless a large beer sponsor comes in with a multi-year contract. We're crazy, but not stupid).
SO, skaters, you have the opportunity to CHOOSE two kinds and to NAME them. Something like Antrim Longboard Lager, or Can/Am Single Lane Stout. C'mon, you have a chance to have your say, not to mention a couple of pints!
A few options:
Scotch Ale
Porter
American IPA
English Bitter
Trappist Ale
English Brown
Pale Ale
American Wheat
Stout
Belgian White
We're going for supplies next week, so voice your opinion now!

Alright then, here we go!
I'd encourage all you racers to sign up ASAP, it really helps the race committee to know the head count early. It takes a lot to put on a big race, and we want the good people to keep organizing and supporting this event.
Just for tickles, here's the BONUS glow cones race event from 09. There was no winner, we couldn't find a pencil to keep score in the dark.
And BTW I was never there at all:

Registration is Open
Hi, Everyone:
Antrim Can/Am registration is open at Active.com:
http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?event_id=1874703
This is set up on NCDSA as well, but you're not officially registered until you go through Active or make other arrangements with me.
We've getting a "battle of the bands" together for Friday night as an added attraction for the general public and are expecting more spectators than ever this year!
Thanks, and let me know if you have questions.

[2010] Antrim Can/Am Slalom Championships Sept. 17-18-19
Hi, Everyone:
After local politics, the 2010 Antrim Can/Am Slalom Championships are finally a GO. Dates as stated last fall, September 17 - 18 - 19, 2010. Somebody owes me a beer for this one.
Talked with Joe I about the POSSIBILITY that we will run Sunday's GS on what we know locally as "the 202 hill."
Will be getting paperwork in place shortly, and will request same status as last year.
New addition -- details being worked out -- bluesman Luther "Guitar Jr." Johnson may be playing Friday night at Rednecks.
As usual, food, fireworks, adoring fans, and lots of fun for you and the family.
More details to come.
