ISSA Race Organization

Many excellent ideas are being discussed. I think it would be a huge help if the ISSA Board of Directors changed the requirements for MAIN and MAJOR races to include some of the suggestions. Status Marshals can talk with organizers before a race and hope an organizer will agree, but if some of these...

It was good of Robert to offer to host the race when no others were able to. Jani, Maybe you can move these posts to another section since they are meant to be helpful for organizing next year's races. Right now, a number of posts on this same topic are scattered in different sections. Maybe putting...

Does anyone agree that that Pros should race first at the larger races? At MAIN - MAJOR races. If a race doesn't have a Pro section, then Class A can run first - Before Classes B and C. At the large races with news coverage, the reporters/photographers are usually at the race early in the day. If t...

Pros should race first - including final brackets. Then the pros don't have to worry about anything and they can help cone judge and coach the rest of the day. Everyone would benefit from that. Audience and news reporters are usually on the hill early anyway. We should let them see some Pro racing!!!

Corky, thanks for all the explanations you made. I think it is worth noting though, that the points worked out for Joe because he traveled to Europe for the world championships. Without that, he wouldn't have gathered enough points for the top ranking. Same with Thiago and his number one AM ranking....

For a really tight course, I switch to a Homer. With GOGs it's super easy to switch. Just remove one bolt and switch from the Foxy to the Homer. The baseplate stays on the board and fits both trucks. Lots of people use the Foxy for tight, but for me the Homer opens up and turns quickly.
