Eurosport
Eurosport just agreed to cover the event and will send a team of 7 people to make sure they get hold of every angle of the action!
Slalom may not have had the same media coverage in Europe since the 1988 European Championships where Czech TV covered the event live and then sold the rights to: Eurosport! and Eurosport showed the program up to 10 times in a year.
We're very pleased to see that Eurosport will cover the event and we've promised them top level racing in the heart of Paris.
3 more days and the action will begin!

We just received confirmation that France's largest communist news paper
l'Humanité will cover the event.

Concrete Wave's photographer JungleJim will be visiting Paris and making sure some good quality shots make it to the mag.
Great!

We just received confirmation that Fun TV, which is a channel from the M6 TV group, will cover the event the whole day Monday May 31st.
Race coverage, interviews (most likely in French) etc. Viewers can call in and win a complete slalom board and a pair of roller skates.
The program will be shown the following weekend, June 3.

One of France's premier internet providers
www.Free.fr is currently helping us market the event and they have proposed to display web banners promoting the event approximately
2.000.000 times during the month of May. Even a site like Trocadero would be pretty packed if even just a small percentage of those people show up.

Here's how it looks when displayed on one of their pages.
Merci

Jean Paul Alavoine heard a brief presentation of the Paris Slalom World Cup on one of the French Radio stations Monday. Seems like interest is building.

We're currently in discussion with the national French channel France 3 who wants to do a story on slalom in the youth program Mon Kanar.
They'll be following a slalomer, aged under 15, for a day during his preparations for the Paris Slalom World Cup and then come back for the actual race. They may be shooting on the Friday before the race, so you may want to come early and be one of those practising or just hanging out at the Trocadero.
Selections for the show's "star" is currently under way and the whole things looks promising.

We're working very hard this year to obtain the media coverage we believe an event of this size deserves. So far 165 press releases have been sent out to a selected number of magazines, radio and TV stations.
Following the initial press release our press secretary Soizic Quemener is actively calling them to further generate interest. Those requesting more information will obtain the 15 page colour media file that was prepared over the last couple of weeks. This document will also be distributed to all of the mayors offices in Paris (one in each arondissement).
...all of this to make sure this years event doesn't go by unnoticed.
I'll try to mention/reproduce some of the media coverage in this thread as I hear of it.
