based on what you just said i think i am having flashbacks......
not too long ago i did some tuning on my park board (sk8 city) and was riding it at might in my driveway (its a loop sorta) so i was doing laps and just came off the road onto my driveway and i hit a few pebbles and then i felt nothing (it was dark so i had no idea what happened) and all of the sudden...WHACK. ends up my front wheel dragged a rock and it caught (62mm 98a rainskates) and i flew a good 8 feet and slammed on the pavement. the next morning i saw the rock, and the mark...ends up i dragged the wheel for a solid foot
hehehe....

wear your pads!!!
you've never experienced the acute pain involved with a clay wheeled board flying out from under you for no reason!

Last night I went to the local Church rummage sale and spotted some roller skates, ends up they were Chicago's and had mint condition Chicago clay wheels. So who has any info on these wheels? I know they have some history but I would like to know some stuff about these. I plan to take the trucks and wheels and mount them on a mini i made that looks like it is straight from the seventies.
Any thoughts?
-Thanks
