i could afford not selling those trucks that's true... but i'm not a rich man either
so these trucks are for sale
sad fact:we have to rely on a guy producing those trucks.
this guy is...lame... bottom line
frank has kicked this guys ass up to mars i don't know to how many different planets already
another fact is,that this guy, right now,is cncing the trucks
richy and maria are down for the first 25 front trucks to show up(hopefully next week)
also the foamaxes are finished and need to go there to.
that should also happen next week then.
i really hate those delays(i have one caused by myself on the foamaxes)
things are happening and the trucks and the decks are worth every penny invested,i repeat myself gladly in this case, every single penny.
so stay in touch with sk8kings to get updates on availability.

I'd like to see them ANYWHERE!

Hey Don, are you ever going to ship a batch of these trucks over to sk8kings for sale, or are you just going to keep dangling them over everybody's heads?

Mein liebster Donald,

Can I automatically join the G.OG. (Gang of Germany) by my bloodline? My last name is Graf which is a German noble title equal in rank to a count. I believe this entitles me to a free pair of GOG trucks.

the trucks were supposed to be here last friday
they are at the customs at the moment and if we don't get them till this friday we hava a back-up plan to minimize delays.
this means actual production in germany then will start on friday and we'll have most of the ordered trucks ready by middle of next week.takes some extra efforts and time but we'll do it

The first batch, soon to arrive in Stockholm, will only be front trucks. Contact Corky at Coyote Grind Lounge if you want to be among the first ones to own one.

There's a batch destined for Paris too.

Hunting The Pack!!!

Post by Dominik Kowalski » Tue Aug 15, 2006 5:59 pm

Shit! I think you got me :)

Yes, we had a lot of fun racing at the german championchips in Halden.
During many of our freerides, I thought I just give it a try to run my Pavel-Rocka (my tight-slalom board!!)
and I was really amazed that it actually felt more comfortable as riding my DH board. It was a narrow and techniqule road...
and after that expierience I choosed the small board for the race.
It was a good laugh in the beginning, I think alot of guys would never have expected that I could qualify or even cross the finish line...
But infact, I really made many riders pretty nervous. I was faster on the start and could easily keep up in the turns....
boaahh, and it was just so much fun!!!

I'm not that experienced in DH racing yet, but I think I ended up around 10. place, and I think I could show the capabilities of that truck,
which was the only reason I could ride fast with such a short and turny board without getting speed wobbles.....

and yes, it's true... everybody is getting anxious about getting a DH version of it, but:
Will there be a downhill version of it spaceable to 200mm?
Uhhh, don't you think 200mm is a little bitle too wide???

;)

hhmmmmm

so they've been tested in high speed situations?
who is that freak on the picture anyway?is that the green traffic light man?
maybe we know him?
hehehehe
nice 70's bike helmet!!!!!!!!!!!!
yep they're good when it comes to speed nice smooth stable.
high speed is something we didn't test yet but thanks to dominik and a few other brave soldiers from across the big blue pond we know what they are capable of.
the downhill guys are already anxious to get their hands on a dh truck.
who knows what we will do in the future?

truckbite?
uhhhh we don't like that...
threaded kingpins?
yes we also have them, but ours stay where they are meant to be...
breaking in bearings?
we didn't have that problem yet,but we already know about that issue...

The GOG front Truck has recently been spotted at a Standup Downhill competition. It looks like they're testing it on extreme highspeed issues. Will there be a downhill version of it spaceable to 200mm?

Only rumors?

Donald,

Is there a chance that the final retail version of the front truck will have a kingpin that is not threaded into the baseplate? That is the primary problem with Radikals, as I'm sure you know. A second issue that would be nice to have solved with GoGs would be a "spherical" bearing that has smooth action already. I spend a good amount of time breaking-in my Rads before the bearings move smooth enough and it would be nice if it were already done. The last issue that I would love to see upgraded from Rads is the baseplate-wheel interference. The wheel on a Rad hits the mounting nut on the baseplate dead-on. Not good. My tweaks to solve the last issue are critically necessary but not pretty. Baseplate, say hello to Mr. Bench Grinder.

Any reply you have would be appreciated.

Most importantly, thanks for continuing the development of slalom trucks. It's a small niche and it takes some balls to go in knowing you probably won't make much out of it. Now that McCree has his eggs back in the office chair someone else needed to step up. Thanks.

Tangent! Imagine the ride of this truck. Once you're at the edge of one side it beams you back to the other. Fast direction changes!

I could try Donimiks board in Brixlegg.
It felt like running on rail, save and comfortable.
... and well turning, too.
Strongly recommend.

Thats absolutely right, Steve ! I put my front GOG on my "smaller" Pavel board, which some guys would use for GS, I could easily run a tight course including some nice offsets !
Without any tuning, I could run the truck "out of the box" ! bottom bushing = blue khiro, top bushing = white khiro.

I would describe the function of a GOG truck like a sinus curve ! Most of the other trucks I rode in front (radikal, splifire, Tracker, Indy...) worked more like a "zick-Zacked" curve.

I hope everyone understands what I want to say ! .-)

the truck the world has been waiting for...

Post by Steve Hinzen » Mon Jul 31, 2006 3:16 pm

I only managed to ride the front truck so far. I mounted it on my boards just minutes before the races in Brixlegg. There was no testing neccessary. I knew if Frank builts something it will work. All I can say is:

Go ride these trucks and SMILE!

You are entering into a new dimension of slalomskateboarding. They work for you from the first second you ride them. Sharp and precise reaction without any hassle about trimming or anything else.

And the look, what can I say: form follows function!

Great engineering from G.o.G.-Mastermind Frank Beste!

When do you guys expect these trucks to be available to the public? and a number of people are asking about the price? Are these trucks trucks still in the testing phase and you a reluctant to set a price yet? if so.. that's cool.

Bravo Frank!!!! So true!!!

Thankfully, I could get one of the last protos for the front truck for Brixx.
All I can say is: It works!!!

It didn't really matter on what course, I was running it almost flat, in tight, special and giant, I even went down straight bombing the hill at the GS.
It just feels very smooth. ;)

Really really really nice job!!! Respect!

I've raced both Special (grippy) and Giant with a Pavel Gunner and GOG rear and front proto trucks in Brixlegg (Worlds 2006).
Donald advised me to test them after, but you know that I've spent last year races testing stuff so I did it again. Ok it's not so easy in Pro @ Worlds especially when you couln't hardly train during the season and perhaps it wasn't a great idea for my results. But after a lot of different tests with bushing and angle I'm sure the can offer great performance.
The ability to change the angle (and so quiclky and easily) on the rear is incredible. It really allows a lot of different ways to ride. That really affects the whole control on the board. I suppose that all rider could find what he want... the only thing will be to know how to set it and when...
At least I'm happy with my last special run against Jason, I had at least the control I wanted and I wasn't far as it was the faster run of the round.

Bravo Frank!!!

Donald please tell us these trucks will be reasonably priced. No more paying 175$ for a front truck and 200+ for a back truck. I do agree the front truck does look like a Radikal, but that is like saying all kicktails on skateboards are all alike. Two people can have the same idea. Good luck with the trucks. Inovation is what fuels the sport of slalom. Your Amigo Eddy Texas Outlaws.
