Would it Be posable
Hans
I was looking at the World Rankings posting and noticed that my last name is misspelled as Lou Stratman. There is also a X Statman listed with my 2007 Luna placing listed. Both should be listed under (Lou Statman)
Thanks
Lou

Corky:
I believe that we should poll our board-of-directors (once elected) and see what interest level there is in either leading or participating as ranking marshalls.
I would be willing to let someone else lead the West Atlantic region efforts, and let them choose the other 2 members, if it works out that way. I might then have some time and effort to apply to some of other ISSA initiatives and tasks.
In the mean time, the current Marshalls can take care of any applications received in 2007 for contests in 2008 -- those that might need a decision soon.

[2008] Administration: Competition statuses
ISSA World Ranking Marshalls for 2008
It's some time before the 2008 season will start but well before that time we have to have the Ranking Marshalls set in place to handle sanctions for incoming ISSA sanction documents for 2008. If anyone have plans for a MAIN status event early on in 2008 they will have to send in sanction document and get approval 3 months before the event. Theoretically that means our 2008 Marshalls should be in place from 2007 Oct 1.
We already have Marshalls for 2007 and there is nothing wrong with them continuing for 2008 but I think it is a good idea to each year make a demand to all ISSA members if there is anyone who is interested for the task or knows anyone who they would like to see as a ranking Marshall.
There are two groups of ranking Marshalls. One for the West Atlantic region and one for the East Atlantic Region. They all take care of events in their respective regions. This is the current situation for 2007.
West Atlantic (South America, North America)
- Head Marshall (2007 - Pat Chewning - ISSA BOD)
- Marshall 1 (2007 - Eddy Martinez)
- Marshall 2 (2007 - Chris Barker)
East Atlantic (Europe, Russia, Asia, Australia)
- Head Marshall (2007 - Hans Koraeus - ISSA BOD)
- Marshall 1 (2007 - Peter Klang)
- Marshall 2 (2007 - Stephen Hinzen)
Nominations for ranking marshalls 2008 (Sep 30)
Can be done here and should be in before Sep 30.
Current ranking Marshalls have automatic nomination to continue until they themselves say they decline the mission.
Selecting ranking marshalls 2008 (Oct 15)
The Head Marshall of each region group will be in charge of selecting the other two ranking marshalls in the group. And officially annonce this here before Oct 15.
Ranking marshalls: What is their job
1. To handle incoming ISSA contest sanction documents from event organizers.
Take care of incoming document. Look through it, discuss it and finally decide if ok and what status the event is granted.
2. Announce official status for each ISSA contest sanction documents
This is done by adding a post in the "ISSA Sanctions granted" forum. See current forum for 2007 http://www.slalomskateboarder.com/phpBB ... php?t=4674
3. Add event to the slalomranking event calendar
