Nobody seems to be following the rule for the bracket size vs the # of qualifiers.3 to 9 qualifiers = Bracket size 4
10 to 19 qualifiers = Bracket size 8
20 to 29 qualifiers = Bracket size 16
30 to 59 qualifiers = Bracket size 24
60+ qualifiers = Bracket size 32
Possible paths forward:
A) Eliminate the rule and allow the organizer to choose bracket sizes. (which is what they are doing today anyways)
B) Leave the rule as is and try to get organizers to recognize it and either follow it or call it out as an exception for their event.
C) Further refinement of the rule by adding more detail
In order of preference I would choose: B then A then C
Jani: are you proposing to eliminate the 24-person bracket, or to add a 12-person bracket? If you are proposing a 12-person bracket, then what number of qualifiers would dictate a 12-person bracket?
