Thanks Dalibor, impressive racing in the Giant Slalom! It was great to have the Slalom Gang Bang Team over in the UK, especially after we have enjoyed such hospitality and well organised events in the Czech Republic.

Re: Freeride & British Open Slalom Championships UK: 6-7 Aug
Given the high volume of racers entered for the BOSC and the time limits imposed on us by Redbridge Council, we will endeavour to run an A and B group of sixteen racers in each class for the Hybrid. If time is pressed then the group sizes will be broken down to one group of sixteen and one group of eight (top 24), and if stretched further, then we will run two groups of eight. Ideally we will run A, B and C groups. All riders outside of any group-racing will be ranked by qualifying times as per ISSA regulations.
English riders, please help with cone-marshalling so that we can get as many races completed as is viable with greatest efficiency.
In addition, given the predicted weather conditions on Sunday, we will try to run the GS with two timed runs per rider and forgo the Super G if necessary. Again, ideally this is a contingency, rather than preferred plan.
Hog Hill is a non-cambered surface that is fast drying and one that offers a great deal of grip even in the wet. And a brilliant location for viewing lightning strikes on the City of London.
And underpants.

Bring it on!

And in case of Stewards enquiry over the winner, we will use ISSA rule 9.4:
http://www.slalomskateboarder.com/Media ... ARules.pdf
9.4 Overall Winner
An event with several races may give awards for the overall winner.
The method of calculating the overall winner shall be:
Racers may enter as many events as desired.
One event is declared the tie breaker before the competition begins. This will be the Hybrid on Saturday!!!
Racers receive points in each race according to the chart. (Below)
Racers are sorted from highest to lowest sum of total points over all events.
Ties are broken by comparing racer placing in the tie breaking event.
1st place =100 2nd place =80 3rd place =60 4th place =50
5th place =45 6th place =40 7th place =36 8th place =32
9th place =29 10th place =26 11th place =24 12th place =22
13th place =20 14th place =18 15th place =16 16th place =15
17th place =14 18th place =13 19th place =12 20th place =11
And so on!

Fourth edition!!!
Once again we return to the best purpose built slalom facility in a major European capital.
Unlike many other high profile events, we have on site cafe, changing rooms, perfect tarmac and a campsite that provides some of the best home grown meat in the country. And public liability insurance on a hired track. And a very fine pub within walking distance.
Roll on up for the British Open Slalom Championships. Its really quite good!
http://www.ukslalomskateboarding.com/
Just ask the Dutch and G.O.G. for references!
