Is this strictly an East Coast thing, or are you going to let Chaput join?
Personally, I'd have reservations about ANY clique that would let ME be a member!

My type of Clique.
A) Show up late for at least a race(s) per season- race anyway.
B) Assemble or borrow at least one board you have never ridden and race it cold.
C) Set a slalom course up on a perfect road even if you think it might be a bust- get those runs in quick, just like pool hopping.
DD) Be friendly and helpful to women- take as much time as needed to explain slalom in terms they understand easily - picking a line, getting lower, gripping/sliding, pumping etc.
E) Go to slalom at places you would never visit otherwise.
F) Always offer your overbooked plane seat for a travel voucher so you can go to another slalom bizzarro world.

I am forming a new Clique. To be in my Clique you will have to
A) Enter and race in 3 races a year.
B) Take a plane to at least one race a year.
C) Think that Pet Sounds and Exile on Main Street are masterpieces.
D)Have at least one story about John Gilmour.
E)Be kind to animals.
F)Spread the gospel of slalom openly, warmly and without judgement while at the same time being able to hone in on others little habits and quirks and make fun of them.
