ISSA Announces Rider Qualification Protocol for World Skate Games 2026
The International Slalom Skateboarding Association (ISSA), in coordination with the World Skate Slalom Working Group, is pleased to announce the approved rider qualification protocol for the upcoming World Skate Games 2026, to be held in Paraguay (dates and venues to be confirmed, likely October–November 2026).

Rider Qualification Protocol
Pre-Qualified Riders:
The Top 10 men and Top 10 women from the ISSA World Rankings for both the 2024 and 2025 seasons (calculated separately) will receive automatic pre-qualification for the Games.
The 2024 Top 10 are shown in the graphic above and listed on the ISSA website.
The 2025 Top 10 will be finalized in January 2026 following the conclusion of the 2025 racing season.
National Quotas:
In addition to the pre-qualified riders, each country will have a quota of 5 men and 5 women, selected by their national federation using their own qualification method.
Confirmation:
Pre-qualified positions are non-transferable and remain subject to acceptance and confirmation by the respective national federations.
Costs:
Riders will be responsible for their own participation expenses at the World Skate Games 2026.
Congratulations to the 2024 Pre-Qualified Riders
The ISSA congratulates the Top 10 men and women from the 2024 ISSA World Rankings, who now form the first wave of eligible competitors for the Games. These names are published in full on the ISSA website and highlighted in the accompanying graphic.
Looking Ahead
The 2025 ISSA World Ranking will determine the second wave of pre-qualified riders.
The ISSA will share updates regarding official dates, venue selection, and event details as they are finalized in collaboration with World Skate.
The ISSA is excited to take this important step toward the World Skate Games 2026 and looks forward to celebrating and supporting the global slalom skateboarding community on the road to Paraguay.
